Shadowing Forbes 30 Under 30 celebrity stylist Alix Gropper over an eight-week immersive internship, gaining firsthand exposure to the creative, operational, and business functions of the luxury fashion and celebrity styling industry. The experience spans editorial styling, client relations, brand partnerships, fashion research, and behind-the-scenes logistics required to execute high-profile styling projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A STYLING INTERN.

Maintain accurate organization and tracking of designer samples and inventory using Excel, ensuring timely returns and accountability for pieces borrowed from PR agencies, fashion houses, and luxury brands.
Monitor deadlines and coordinate inventory movement to support multiple concurrent styling projects.

Act as a liaison between the styling team and PR agencies, showrooms, and luxury brands to coordinate sample requests, pickups, deliveries, and returns.
Develop professional written and verbal communication skills while representing the styling team in external interactions.

Assist during commercial shoots, editorial productions, and brand collaborations by anticipating team needs, organizing wardrobe, managing logistics, and ensuring styling operations run efficiently.
Support fast-paced production environments while adapting to evolving creative and logistical priorities.

Assist during client fittings by preparing wardrobe selections, organizing garments, and observing how styling decisions communicate a client's personal brand, narrative, and public image.
Learn how creative direction is translated into intentional wardrobe choices tailored to individual clients.

Conduct visual and trend research using fashion publications, runway collections, social media, and cultural references to source styling inspiration aligned with project objectives.
Contribute creative ideas while strengthening the ability to identify aesthetic trends and emerging fashion movements.

Continuously research designers, runway collections, industry news, and cultural trends to help keep the styling team informed of evolving movements within the fashion landscape.
Develop a strong understanding of how trends emerge and influence celebrity, editorial, and commercial styling.
